Goals

The Open Qubit project is designed to allow people from all over the world to share their ideas and code with others in the Quantum Computing field. My goals personally are: first of all, to write a simulation of a Quantum Computer in order to demonstrate Shor’s factoring algorithm, and its efficiency on a QC; secondly, to extend this code to a more general API that will allow the implementation of other quantum algorithms. However, the project is not limited to this. The Open Qubit project attempts to br ing together a wide variety of people that are interested in the advancement of Quantum Computing, and to provide a kind of ‘user group’ on QC. Anyone may join Open Qubit. Even if you do not know the first thing about quantum physics, do not be afraid to join the mailing list and ask your questions. If someone can help, they will answer what they can.
